Walked to this sushi shop and ordered Asaka Bento Lunch Special ($18.50). The combo includes teriyaki chicken, 2 pieces of fried chicken, 1 piece of fried fish and one fried prawn. Love the salad with mayonnaise dressing and the crunchy yellow pickles. Worth the money. Delicious food with affordable price! Will come back again.

I am often tempted by the golden glow of the fried foods selling in the bain-marie of this shop, so this review is solely for that. I have no complaint about any other aspect of this shop (and make no comment about the fresh food!).
The karaage chicken in the bain-marie is always TOO greasy, like its been sitting there for hours / days (spoiler: it has), so too for the vegetable fritter, dripping dripping...
The fish probably stands alone as being less greasy, but is sadly tasteless, cheap fish, that seems like good value at $2 a piece, while actually just being pure artery clogging nonsense.
I'm mainly writing this review to stop myself from buying it in the future, nothing against the workers, who seem like hard working, friendly and competent sorts.

Food was very good, amazing value as well.
I came a bit after lunch hour, so unfortunately they didn’t have any pork belly don left. Instead I was suggested the chicken katsu don, along with some side dishes (would recommend the takoyaki skewers).
The flavour of the chicken don was quite powerful, but it was really quite nice along with the crispy chicken. Also, at the time we came it was very quiet and relaxed. Would come again as their food is good, and there’s a large variety.

I’m always in the hunt of small eatery that serves yummy food. And I’m so glad to be able to find this place.
Friday evening was very quiet and we were greeting beautiful by the lady. My children were so hungry they couldn’t wait anymore so we grabbed the ready made sushi from the fridge. Unable to give review for the sushi as they finished everything and just said “good”.
We ordered a pork belly rice which is not a common dish on the Japanese cuisine menu but it is quite good.
Myself ordered a karaage bento, which I love. The chicken was cooked to perfection with the crunch on the outside and so juicy on the inside. Interestingly my bento was served with a slice of orange.
Sashimi is also great but I do have a little pick on the wasabi where sashimi will be perfect with better quality wasabi.
My big concern is the sticky tables. I’m sure the hygiene can be improved. We were not comfortable leaning our arm on the table as it was sticky.
Overall food was great.
